ABOUT
 

Dorothy, WONG Ka Chung received her BA (Hons) in Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong before pursuing her MFA at School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. Since completing her thesis, she has been working on exhibitions and video book publication project. Her main research is about photography and inter-media experiments between video and still image. Her works have been shown in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, China and Zurich. Also, Wong was awarded by ISEA2016 International Symposium of Media Art and nominated to The Chinese Young Artist 2017 by Guan Shanyue Art Museum.

Beside from this, Wong is a member of artists collective o!sland. It is a collective of three artists bringing together different cultural and artistic backgrounds : media artist Dorothy Wong Ka-Chung from Hong Kong, choreographer Eva Lin Yingchi from China, and composer/sound artist Benjamin Ryser from Switzerland.The collective develops intermedia works and performance in which social and political contexts are negotiated through the perspective of personal experience. The research focus on postcolonial issue,the experience of belonging, displacement, and distance.

黃加頌於香港中文大學修讀藝術，之後進入創意媒體學院修讀藝術創作碩士，完成畢業論文後，目前正忙於展覽和錄像文字出版工作。她的主要研究領域是攝影以及錄像和靜態圖像之間的跨媒體實驗。作品曾在香港、台灣、澳門、中國和蘇黎世展出。黃氏曾在國際媒體藝術研討會 ISEA2016 中獲選，並獲關山月美術館提名為中國青年藝術家2017。

除此以外，黃氏亦是創作團隊 o!sland 的成員之一。 o!sland 是三個由不同文化與藝術背景的創作者組成，其中包括中國編舞者林映池、瑞士的編曲和聲音創作者Benjamin Ryser和來自香港的媒體創作者黃氏。 o!sland 遊居於不同國家和城市之間，通過個人在不同文化經驗的角度以跨媒體為表演和在地裝置為創作手法，對當下的社會和政治狀態提問、溝通。研究重點為後殖民問題、歸屬感、錯置和距離的經驗。
